F25 Series Crankbait — Old Penny

The F25 is the shallow one. A fat-bellied body that runs 2–5 ft and pushes more water than a tight-wobbling bait — which is exactly what you want up on the bank and any time the water has some color in it.

Throw it at laydowns, stumps, rip-rap, and the first few feet off the bank. Bang it into cover on purpose; the deflection is what triggers the strike.

When to throw Old Penny: copper and brown read as a crawfish, and a shallow runner ticking across rock and gravel is exactly how you fish one. Best from late winter through the prespawn, when bass are shallow and eating craws before anything else.
