Head Skipper Jig — Red Dirt

The Head Skipper is built for one job: getting a jig under a dock and keeping it there. The head is shaped to skip flat off the surface instead of digging in, so you can put it three or four feet back under a walkway where most jigs never reach.

It flips and pitches just as well — the weed guard comes through laydowns, brush, and grass without loading up. Mustad hook, premium silicone skirt, tied one at a time.

When to throw Red Dirt: red and brown is the cold-water craw. From late winter into the prespawn, dragged over rock and gravel, this is the one that gets bit when the water comes up stained and the fish still want a crawfish.
