Head Skipper Jig — Grape Goblin

The Head Skipper is built for one job: getting a jig under a dock and keeping it there. The head is shaped to skip flat off the surface instead of digging in, so you can put it three or four feet back under a walkway where most jigs never reach.

It flips and pitches just as well — the weed guard comes through laydowns, brush, and grass without loading up. Mustad hook, premium silicone skirt, tied one at a time.

When to throw Grape Goblin: purple belongs to the same family as the brown-and-purple jig that has been catching bass for decades. It silhouettes in off-color water and still passes for a crawfish up close. Good in a stain, and good on overcast days.
