Head Skipper Jig — Fire Craw

The Head Skipper is built for one job: getting a jig under a dock and keeping it there. The head is shaped to skip flat off the surface instead of digging in, so you can put it three or four feet back under a walkway where most jigs never reach.

It flips and pitches just as well — the weed guard comes through laydowns, brush, and grass without loading up. Mustad hook, premium silicone skirt, tied one at a time.

When to throw Fire Craw: craw patterns get bit hardest in the prespawn, when bass move shallow and eat crawfish ahead of anything else. Fire Craw carries enough orange and red to stay visible once spring runoff puts a stain in the water. Drag it over rock and rip-rap.
