F25 Series Crankbait — Smoke Shad

The F25 is the shallow one. A fat-bellied body that runs 2–5 ft and pushes more water than a tight-wobbling bait — which is exactly what you want up on the bank and any time the water has some color in it.

Throw it at laydowns, stumps, rip-rap, and the first few feet off the bank. Bang it into cover on purpose; the deflection is what triggers the strike.

When to throw Smoke Shad: once the water climbs past the upper 50s, bass shift onto shad and stay there through the summer. Smoke Shad is that bite in a subdued, translucent finish — clear to lightly stained water, and the days when a bright pattern is too much.
